On top of many other reasons... I will not send them somewhere that will scare them half of the day 5 days a week!!!! "Dont play with other kids!! You might die!!" Not gonna happen!!!

My kids attend a career focused online school under the K12 umbrella. The main benefits for me are that all classes are recorded (or you can attend) so you ALWAYS know what is being taught or discussed in class, and the personal attention & fantastic communication between teachers, administration, students & parents. We have gone to 2 schools under K12, one REALLY sucked, and the one they will graduate from this year is absolutely incredible & we LOVE it! I pulled mine from the same school my grandparents, parents & brother and I graduated from because of hinky shit in the administration. Never looked back! If you work full time, homeschooling is hard unless you find a group as others have suggested. I'm a single parent so this works great for me. They work with your kids at their speed & the kids love getting to have experience in different careers to help them decide what they want to be when they grow up. The name is Destinations Career Academy of (enter state name here), you can find them under K12 schools. The one we hated was called a Prepatory Academy & it sucked massive donkey balls! Happy to give more information if you would like. Again the biggest benefit is I can be 100% involved without having to plan, find curriculum, teach, etc. I did that for 2 years and my kids and I were not happy; I worked FT and could not make it fun enough for them (or me honestly).
Yes please. I'm trying to do this as a single dad... I am trying to collaborate with my ex wife so that's another big hurdle in the whole thing. Much appreciated fren.
This could be a great compromise for you both, the kids are still in public school, but at home where YOU control their safety! Do you mind sharing your state? I'm in Colorado and I know different states offer different schools. If you're in Colorado, I'll link you to our school, if not, I'll see if your state has one. I really can't say enough about our school, I feel extremely blessed to have found it and I'm sure I can help sell it to your ex, because I truly believe my kids benefit more here than they would have in indoctrination camp, I mean brick & mortar school.
I'm in nc. This in my opinion seems to be the best short term option I have that I found so far.

I still don't want that either... The online schooling has been shit. This is just the same thing... but I would be able to control wether or not they are being told if you want to play with your friends it might kill you every fkn day!!!
This is definitely a sister school to ours, I see Career focused electives & ours also has just become "powered by Stride" whatever that means lol! I can't say if they are teaching any if this weird shit in this school, but I know they aren't in mine. Transparency is my favorite word and this school is transparent. I can attend their classes or watch the recording later. If they are skipping classes or not getting work done, I know about it before they know I know. I would hope that all of their schools are as awesome as ours, but honestly, at least you can shut that shit down if you're not happy with it. Communicate with the teachers and admin, go to the social events and give your kids a chance to meet their classmates and teachers. I HATED this part....but it gave my kids the social structure to make friends and to personally know their teachers. I can email a teacher at 8 p.m. and 90% of the time they respond within the hour. They encourage my kids to do their best and they understand when they can't & work it out with them. We had a LOT of emotional upheaval in our house of Mom & twin 17 year old sisters (fucking hormones are ridiculous over here) last year & this school supported each of my girls in different (but best for them) ways. What is your ex looking for, is she on board at all? In my eyes, if you can sell her on this and it fails, at least they aren't in a room all day where you can't see if they are teaching CRT or not! You can find something better later, it's important to feel like your kids are safe. At home, you KNOW they are safe!
