It’s a rigorous process to enter a claim on VAERS, and it’s monitored by the FDA and CDC. It’s not a perfect system (being that they deleted about 6,000 entries a few weeks ago and continue to do so) but it’s the best we have and it’s been around for decades. And many of the reports are filed by physicians and healthcare professionals.
