Neem oil as an alternative for Ivermectin?

At a talk given by a brave NZ Doctor last night another member of the audience suggested Neem oil as an alternative to Ivermectin. Seems to be used as an insecticide. Anyone with further information please.

Cheers - I already take zinc and a glass of tonic water with quinine daily but should take more vit D.
