Trump himself has said in a few interviews that his withdrawal plan was contingent to conditions on the ground at the time. But this is where most people trip up.
If Trump were still POTUS in May conditions on the ground WOULD HAVE allowed his promise to be fulfilled because all the terrorist groups in the region watched what he did to ISIS and believed what he said he would do to them.
They do not fear Biden. They think he is a joke, hence the current shenanigans. And now that the damage is done, he can't give them a reason to fear him without catching an equal amount of shit for sending us back there to clean it all up (again).
Trump put him in a real pickle with this one. Either move Biden made would have fuxked him. 5D chess anyone?
