The Mark of the Beast can be symbolic, and it can be spiritual, or both. In many ways it is both, but often the spiritual precedes the physical.
I heard a story about a pastor who went into a tattoo shop run by an old Chinese guy, to ask about some of the tats displayed in the window. The pastor asked - do people really get these tats?
The old man responded - "Before tattoo on body, tattoo on mind"
Personally, I think the one of DS plans is to use the vax to shame people, if they don't get their way. Shaming is a great form of control and debilitation. If the control part fails, it often results in people turning away towards self destructive paths. I've never seen it make things better in the long run. If things do get better, it wasn't the shaming that did it. It was the intervention of God in other ways, often through people who showed love and grace in times of need.
