Best cell phone service? Freedom phone? Help!

I have an IPhone and T-mobile service and am ashamed and disgusted that I’m paying money to either of these companies. I (and maybe other frenz) would greatly appreciate recommendations for best cell company and best phone. I trust the input from GAW more than any other. Thanks 🙏

Wasn't the Freedom Phone called out for being a scam by con artists? There was something about it a while ago.
