Starting to tour colleges with my daughter and the first one scheduled is requiring muzzles. I'm 100% non-compliant but fear my 'medical exemption' (cough) will be an issue. If it isn't, then all good. If it is, do I still refuse and potentially sabotage her tour? She won't be too cross with me as she knows where I stand. In fact, I convinced her to be non-compliant on several occasions when with me, but I'm sure she complied when I wasnt around.
Should I just wait in the car? With all that's going on in the world it sounds trivial I think. Thanks for any comments.
You could consider it reconnaissance behind enemy lines. We never considered Berkeley for our youngest but took a tour out of curiosity. We had a very sweet (seemed a bit naive) college student rep, who gave the campus tour, and he was so proud of their “free speech” reputation…although this was when Ben Shapiro was being banned from speaking there! Remember, the college tours should technically be for your daughter. Someday, when she gets married, you will similarly let her shine at her wedding. But, this is just one opinion, friend. As my mom would say: “opinions are like noses…everyone has one.”
Thank you.
