I would assume that the vast majority of deaf people or people with other hearing impairments can probably read, right?
So why is there all these turrets syndrome acting retards flailing around doing sign language? Why can't they just do close captioning? Who knows what these people are signing anyway.
They are quite a distraction but that's probably the point. They don't want anyone focusing on the lies and garbage they are spewing.
I had the exact same thought at the last conference. The facial expressions they make is insane. I guess it's for deaf people who also can't read? Or maybe it's for deaf people who speak another language than English (is sign language the same for f.ex. Spanish and English?).
Nope. Most languages also have their own sign languages.
