I don't have my own flag pole where I live, but I have been considering getting one just so I can fly it at half mast and upside down, showing distress.

I'll admit to not being well versed on flag etiquette. Would my idea be good, or terrible?

EDIT: Maybe put a Gadsden underneath it so that my neighbors (most of whom I have not met yet) know that I'm not some commie trying to disrespect the flag?
