I remember when Katrina hit and Ida is going to take the same path. It rained for about a week and maybe a few days here in Western Kentucky. I'd never seen it rain so much for days on end. Looks like I'm about to see it again and maybe worse. Praying for everyone to be safe.
Is New Orleans evacuated this time?
They mayor didn't think to issue mandatory evac or open contraflow, it's a shit show. Currently 110+mph wind speeds in new orleans.

I haven't been able to watch this Livestream. It may be Grand Isle where approximately Ida is landfalling.
Yeah, I think Grand Isle was already getting hammered around noon. All of our family and friends are either in BR or the suburbs of BR and my Mom and sister lost power this evening and the worst of it is supposed to hit them between 1-4 am. My husband’s grandparents already had two huge trees down in their yard at 9 pm. 😳🙈🙏🏻
