i was in the NZ military,and at one time was stationed at a Commonwealth Miliitary Base in Malaya, around 1975 or so,.and we were all issued with these small bottles of pills or a paste of a thing called ivermectin,and there was a small kinda booklet thing that told you how to take it,you swallowed the pill with water and you had this really small tube with a small cap on and you squeezed a bit under your tongue and basically waited for it to dissolve, and i can tell you it tasted like shit,.apparently alotta guys came down with Malaria, and thats what tthe military used as a cure against it and it worked like a miracle cause malaria killed alotta people
