we didnt always have internet. we need bbs. dial in with a modem to get updates out to people. dial in for news then log off

get your land lines back. the 50volts low current on the line can charge a device. extremely slow but in an emergency it is good to have. there are webpages that can give you a bill of materials. it is very simple circuit. for the novice.

I agree^ I think they're getting rid of the old to make room for the new.

same with cars, why are they having so many issues producing new vehicles...maybe our old cars will soon be obsolete.
