The dh (dream husband) and I just completed a 1900 mile road trip. We started in North East Texas, through New Mexico and then on to Colorado Springs and back. Hardly anyone at Texas is wearing masks. 2 weeks before we hit NM, mandatory masks went back into effect. Couldn't go in anywhere without one. When we got to the hotel in Taos, I was offered a mask if I didn't have one. We couldn't check in without it. I said, "please forgive me. We're from Texas, land of the free". If looks could kill, hahaha. The clerk said I was about the zillionth Texan with an attitude that day. He was OVER IT . In Colorado, the only masks I saw were a smattering (less than 5) in parking lots, blown around by the wind. The HELP WANTED signs were up on just about every door, window and marquee throughout the whole trip. I saw a full page newspaper add for every position imaginable at the Hotel Broadmoor. Fabulous trip but glad to be home.
