We know that You lead men into battle for Your own purposes.

We know it is You who raises them up and who brings them down.

All authority comes from You, Lord, and we know You let Your Spirit speak and guide men as they are needed to fulfill Your plans.

Bless these men, Lord, hold up the Christian fathers. Hold up the Christian leaders. Hold up the men who will stand and fight for us.

Give these men authority, Lord, if it be Your Will. Let the Spirit be on them and let people have ears to hear and eyes to see. You know their hearts, Lord, and we wait to see as You raise them up.

Lord, thank You for making men like these for times such as these.
