Bullshit. They have no idea. How many people get tested to see which variant they have?

Besides the fact that many younger people don't even get symptoms. Number of cases is always complete horseshit.

They don't. I assume the test to determine the variant type is very expensive, since the PCR test can't tell the difference between cold, flu or Covid. Telling the difference between one Wuhan virus and a slightly different Wuhan virus sounds really difficult.
