The lusts of the "artist" and even of the school board who allowed this into the school are on full display. This is just another form of grooming, telling students that this is normal, acceptable behavior. The worst part of it is that it is aimed at a demographic that is experiencing puberty and hormone development and seeking an outlet for their emerging urges. So the book more or less says, "Feeling horny? Try this, you'll like it."
I watched a lot of video from that. That girl wasn't remotely shot where they claimed and honestly didn't appear to actually be shot at all. Supposedly hit in the neck without hardly any actual blood coming out. Her shooting was just as fake as the entire "riot". But your right. It's a movie and sometimes they gotta move the plot along.
