I just want to contrast this with the correct message: we should hate our sin, not ourselves. People are made in the image of God with intrinsic worth assigned to us by our creator. Once taught what sin is, it's easy to discern if you are hearing the flesh or the Spirit. Kids need to know the difference and mortify their own sin. Once one has a small strength to accomplish this, they will have a confidence in their God, and understand the grace that has been given them, and an ability to be gracious with a strength in justice according to wisdom.
