So my Fortune 500 Financial Services firm just mandated the jab. No way I'm getting the vax so I need to make a quick decision: I'm eligible for early retirement so do I go down that road (which has heathcare and 401k benefits) or hold out and let them fire me (then take legal action)? The Patriot in me wants to hold out and let them can me but it's hard to turn down the retirement options (for my family's sake). Any pedes out there in a similar situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! WWG1WGA!

I retired before the mandates. No regrets. Was planning to stay under the umbrella Until I required a walker to move, but the change in clients and atmosphere was unsettling. I would attend conferences and be one of two not diapered. Clients would try and demand a mask when I had to visit their offices. It became insane. I doubt that I would have been released and I was never reprimanded. Income is down and no more bonuses. I pay 50% of my medical premium (used to be free). I have taken cash contracts three times since, and turned down offers farther away then I am willing to travel. The company I left has sent me documents to review, but were unwilling to pay without a 1099. All good and the catfish are biting and deer season is almost here.
When I grow up i want to be exactly like you! Thanks for your comments!
