FYI, I recently read a paper about genotyping covid variants. They had a little nugget in there that stated samples with pcr cycles >28 give or take a cycle could not be sequenced due to lack of material.
How do you test for a virus that has not been isolated ?
By testing for segments of its genome, not the whole thing.
Why hasn't 1 laboratory done what they all used to do and test against a viral culture to confirm positive....
