So ive been doing the hotel scene since covud hit. I went to NY last weekend for a break and see whats going on out there. I came back and this place is full of well dressed well groomed black people that dont speak a word of english. Say hi or good morning to them and they dont even acknowledge you, just keep walking by you.
They are definitely out of place for this area. I think the shtf moment may be coming soon here. Thank god im outta here soon.
I have new neighbors in my apartment complex here in Florida, they don't speak English, I suspect that they are Haitian, there's a man and three women and a bunch of kids, and my complex only goes up to two bedrooms, it's also on the blue collar side of town, and the least expensive I could find while apartment shopping.
Does your local govt. have restrictions on the number of people per bedroom in apartments?
I think there's a rule, but in this neighborhood there's a mind your own business rule too. Plus I'm not sure if they rented more than one apartment, I see them out in the courtyard together, I don't even know which unit, I am usually out on the sun porch with my dogs when I see them. I hear them speaking, it's not english, and it's not spanish, so I'm making an assumption. It's not something I feel I can bring up at the rental office.
French is a language that's pretty easy to know what it is when you hear it if you are familiar with it at all even if you don't speak it, you could listen to a few things online of people speaking French and I bet you could tell if they are speaking it then.
