Washington State Ferries (WSF) began reporting reduced schedules a few days ago, and the issues are still ongoing. The following is from the WSF website on 10/10. (At least they are stating honestly that the schedule reductions are because of crew shortages and not because of weather or other silly excuses.)
WSF Reduces Service on Sunday, 10/10 In an effort to provide more reliable, predictable service in light of severe crewing shortages, Washington State Ferries will be operating on an alternate service schedule on Sunday, October 10. Service across the system will be reduced as outlined below. Please visit our website at https://bit.ly/wsfschedule to check sailing times for individual routes. You can view the schedules for Sunday service by looking for ‘Alternate Service’ next to the route name. Please note that some of these schedules are under the ‘Currently Inactive’ section of the list until the start of the service day on Sunday at 3:01 AM.
If additional crewing becomes available, WSF will add back as much service as possible—please visit our website or subscribe to rider alerts at https://bit.ly/wsfrideralerts for the latest updates.
Additional “crewing”?....Add back as “much service” as possible? ...yea ....things are falling apart rapidly
What if? Crew members are also Coast Guard or Navy reservists? Called up?
What if they refused clot shot also that’s a double whammy.
