More than half the covid hysteric and conformist i know are evangelicals. More than half the skeptics i know are agnostic and generally unconcerned w that performative thing
I used to be a hardcore atheist. I used to believe that 'believers' didn't actually truly believe, what with the mixing of fabrics and being ok with homos etc.
Now I'm more inclined to believe christians might actually be on to something.
I'll definitely agree that a loss of religion in society is a bad thing. That the moral decay of the 'left' is fucking disgusting, and I have much more in common with devout christians than I have with whatever the fuck the rest of society is.
I'm also fully accepting that my own moral compass is fully derived from christian morals.
Still not sure about the existence of the christian god, got a lot of questions there, but its becoming increasingly obvious the god of the left is satan.
Every time I see pedes praying for others on here it really makes me happy that good people still exist.
I guess if y'all believe, and you're right about everything else...maybe it's time I wake up
I used to listen exclusively to skeptic podcasts. I gave up the first time I watched a trump rally and realized that the msm was absolute bullshit.
I haven't missed a rally since, which was maybe a month before trump got the kungflu.
I now listen to conservative podcasts/youtube instead.
I've had a similar epiphany, always was agnostic, raised without religion but strong Christian-based morals.
Jordan Peterson has a theory that religion is a built in need or instinct in people (some have it more than others). If you take away religion proper they will latch onto something to take its place, and it's almost certainly going to be worse than Christianity. Because Christianity with all its faults is based on fundamentally sound principles. If you instead choose random shit to believe it will be deadly.
I've been listening to his dialogues series on YouTube, it's very good. Generally on point except about the election steal, but you can't get everything right ...
