God needs nothing from us, but He also requires everything from us.
I agree that if a church is squandering money, it should be dealt with properly.
However, it is inaccurate to state that tithing/giving is an OT issue and not a NT requirement.
The NT gets at the heart and makes giving a heart issue and not just a compulsory directive. Being a cheerful giver is a tougher requirement than just being a giver.
