Your sister has made her choice and you, yours. That's freedom. But I have some advice for you. Look for a job NOW. Plenty of jobs available to those willing to simply show up. Do not quit your current job just to get out. I don't think that being fired for defying an illegal power grab is going to be a big issue in the near future. In fact it could be a plus. It would be if I was doing the hiring.
No for sure. I already had a lot of interviews but I think it’s actually too early now. The mandate might get overturned. My company will probably not uphold it if it won’t become a law. It wouldn’t apply to remote workers anyways. Even though they give me grief for not disclosing my vaccination status I don’t wanna quit. It’s the best job I had so far. Let’s wait some more and see
True but in this situation one reason I haven't gone for a different one yet was because I knew something like Biden's mandate was coming and wanted to see who else was going to fold as I didn't want to go through the trouble of changing employers just to see the new one start trying to coerce me as well.
Bring it up during the interview. Concentrate on the smaller employers. If the potential employer is a pro vax, look elsewhere. If they don't care or they tell you it's your decision, you've found a home. The interview is how employers and employees find like minded partners.
I have always intended to but it helps that the Occupier in Chief is now forcing the hands of those who would have betrayed everyone months later like what's already happening to others I know who left for what were originally greener pastures.
Same.
