Because they know that their viewers won’t have watched the trial and so they feed them a parallel reality. Same when they released the so called leak that appeared to show the Arizona audit confirming the potato’s win but didn’t even mention the actual audit hearing. The news tells them one reality and they don’t bother fact checking anything for themselves so they just believe whatever they’re being told.
