I think this is the just the tip of it to be honest. Some states will follow in this line of thinking. Some will continue to be lap dogs for government funds. A fracture maybe? Is the country about to split into freedom living patriot states and government tyranny states?
My family and I are heavily considering leaving NC after 20 years for Tn. Cooper will not protect NC citizens right to informed consent. We're looking at small cities and towns in eastern Tn. Any recommendations?
Depends on how small you are thinking. East TN is experiencing a huge population surge. Real estate is hard to come by. If you like Rural, look at Athens and Benton areas. Prices are still reasonable.
my East TN house I bought 3.5 years ago for 183,000, now appraised for 483,000.
thats how bad it is right now, I wouldnt even be able to afford my own house if I had to buy it in this market
honestly, this is happening across the U.S. now, not just TN.
We've been looking at 15K to 1500 people cities. New Market, Jonesborough, Spring City, Greeneville, Church Hill, Dandridge. We don't know the areas well and are going based on a few factors (political climate, cost of living, crime rate, property taxes, median home value, unemployment rate). We home school so the school system is not as important but still important to having a quality community.
Gotcha. We are south of I-40, so I don’t have much input for you. Moved here from NY to escape the taxes and now grateful to be removed from the madness.
