I wonder if some, make that a lot, of opposition to a perfectly logical statement, is because people don't want to be told they have to get up off their asses and make an actual effort to fix things. That's why they're not listening.
Im thinking .. they want daddy to fix everything.. as long as its a daddy they agree with.. its likely why Trump needed to go away for a bit.. yes he was the brute force to fix things but there wpuld come a day where he would be gone and we would be looking for daddy to fix shit again.. the lesson needed to be taught.. the hard lesson.. its on us.. time to stop looking to government to fix shit
We ended up in this mess because people didn't do their patriotic duty to get involved, keep an eye one what's going on and vote, vote, vote. They knew they could cheat, they knew they could slide in bought and paid for elected officials, they knew they could push through disastrous, harmful legislation and even rules.
We're never going to get out of it unless we start doing what we should have been doing for decades. Even if it means voting for the lesser of two evils, even if it means starting at the bottom of a system that's corrupt or negligent.
