This is correct. Each person must develop the fortitude to meet whatever threat exists and not expect GOD to simply carry you through. GOD does help those who help themselves and others. For the brave, courageous and committed GOD may tip the scale in your favor now and then. I am cynical of the ‘miracle’ stories where the saved were passive and expectant of divine intervention. Just my input based on my life experiences.
