When I first heard of the bill MTG was putting forward about giving Kyle a congressional medal… my first thought was what kind of weird grifting bullshit play is this?? The bill can’t and won’t get passed right now, so it’s merely an optics play and it just feels FAKE. That was my initial take on it.
It all feels fake. Idolatry of this kid in a bad situation who defended himself has gone way overboard as has the undue hatred so many have for him. He’s young and has a lot of learning and life to live so let’s not make him into George Washington just yet. Let’s commend him and be glad for his court win, a case that should have never gone to court, but let’s give him space to grow up and become a man.
