I keep reading how freemasons are evil and do horrible things. Yet I grew up with masons. I'm not evil, nor do I do horrible things. So, being new, and open minded. I would like to have a civilized discussion about the freemasons! And remember. I come from family members whom are passed now, but, were. Masons. I'm open to here. Thank you.

My grandpa was a freemason. Presumably very high up. Wonderful, magnaminous man and an actual hero for his actions in the Coast Guard. Was he a pedophile? I doubt it. Did he live a secret life that my grandma knew nothing of? Absolutely!
I thought nothing of it. Still have some of his masonic trinkets until I figure out what to do with them.
It's important to remember that someone can do bad things if they believe that those things are good. Even Satanic people believe that evil is good. This is how they are able to do their heinous deeds.
The key is to compartmentalize and rationalize. Your grandfathers did some shocking and disgusting things to be allowed into the cult of Freemasonry. But they were brainwashed to believe that it was in the name of brotherhood and uplifting their fellow man. Spatter in a good mix of charitable acts and people can justify keeping a secret life from even their closest loved ones.
I know because I have witnessed the despicable secretive acts of those pillars of society who practice Freemasonry. Their families had no idea what they were up to.
Good insight👍
Most evil pieces of shit do not go around bragging about their evil deeds. Unless you are a childhood victim who is being groomed to take over the 'family business' you have no need to be in the know. As far as op knows there is no wealth tied to his dead masonic relatives but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That's just piles of cash that could be hidden and doesn't even consider the more sick things that can be used as payment among each other. You never really know a person wether you like it or not. Humans are very good at compartmentalizing their actions and convincing themselves of whatever is necessary to keep on moving. It's a gift and a curse.
