Ever since the coof started, I’ve been looking into the benefits of different vitamins and supplements to help the immune system, help your body fight covid etc. I started taking D3, vitamin C, zinc and NAC. Since I’ve been taking these supplements, I’ve noticed a huge decrease in my depression. So much of a decrease that I was able to wean off of my antidepressant ! I’ve been off off it for over a year now, and feel great. I want to dive in to learning more about what supplements can do for other illnesses and to prevent future problems. Google searching leads me to some info, but it’s hard to know which info is trustworthy and efficacious. Do you pedes have any suggestions on reading material or resources to get me started learning more? TIA❤️

Its not a supplement, but I've heard that intermittent fasting is a way of curing or suppressing the formation of lot of negative things, cancers included.
Any multivitamin you can find with lots of trace minerals are good also, there may be some weird things you have a deficit of and in general, the more things they cover, the better.. a shotgun approach rather than a scoped shot if you will.
Sunshine and fresh air and some moderate level of cardio should also be something you do every day.
Its ironic, but in this 'pandemic' era many people I know are healthier than ever - more homecooked meals, more exercise, more time to meditate, more time to look into health options now that its an area of expertise becoming essential since trustworthiness of many 'official' sources are in a death spiral.
I definitely have cut down my fast food and vending machine consumption since we’ve been working from home the past two years! But- I have really been slacking on working out. I have always been naturally thin, but I used to still go to the gym a few times per week or play volleyball with a group of friends or just do active stuff- since the pandemic I haven’t done much of any of those things. I sit at my desk for 8 hours a day working then sit on the couch on this website or Twitter or YouTube trying to catch up with the insanity that has happened in the world that day. I really have to make more of an effort to get myself back into physical shape. I think that for the past year, I’ve been stressing a little about my job- didn’t know if the vax mandate would happen, then found out it was going to happen and worrying that my religious exemption wouldn’t be approved. It’s difficult when you think you are about to lose everything you have worked hard to get. Finally last week I was notified that my exemption DID get approved, and was also notified that my whole department will now be permanently working from home. That has taken away the stress of not knowing whether I was going to have a job. Now that all that is taken care of, I need to focus on getting healthier overall
