the ordeal you've been through lowers your immunity. and of course you'd be scared because of your son. if you look at Dr. McCullough's chart, you're mid stage now with respiratory symptoms* -- almost over the hump, the key now is to not let it run away. if you can get a prescription for Prednisone that is what Dr. McCullough recommends for respiratory symptoms here:
note: HCQ+AZM+Doxycycline -- some variants are more responsive to these, can take with IVM (and continue that) if your doc will prescribe.
Zinc (the protocols recommend different amounts, but for 5 days go with the higher amounts).
Vit. D3 -- this is very important. (my doc has me take 100,000 IU a day for 2 to 3 days at the beginning of cold/flu, then back to your normal dose). the goal is to get and maintain your blood levels at least 50ng/ml.
Vit. C.
Melatonin.
Quercetin.
Aspirin.
gargling with alcohol based mouthwash.
stay hydrated (don't do gatorade, but some electrolyte water is ok).
avoid sugar (increases inflammation and makes white blood cells sleepy).
rest and let others do the heavy lifting.
*worsening respiratory symptoms, especially 7-10 days after onset, could be a sign of micro clots. definitely consult a doctor to evaluate any difficulty in breathing.
