Went to the Dollae Tree for a bunch of crap I really didn’t need. Was buying Christmas goodies for neighbors kids. At register was the same worn sign they hand printed in July “DUE TO COIN SHORTAGE PLEASE USE EXACT CHANGE BUT WE PREFER CARDS NOT CHECKS”. My total was $18.90. I gave the worker, snowflake, not sure what gender due to blue/pink hair and nose rings and Sparkly mask $18.90. He/she/it said “ We can’t take cash unless it is correct amount!” This is our future!!!!!

My husband and I went to Arby's where our total was like $16.25. So my husband handed the girl a $20 bill and a quarter. She looked so dumbfounded that she had to go ask the Manager how to fix it. My husband said to me when we got to the truck, "Geez, do any of these kids know how to do math these days? You'd think they'd at least know how to count money?"
Where are you people shopping that requires clerks to do their own math manually??? Literally only seen this at taco trucks and they usually employ ex drug dealers who are wizards at mental math.
They don't do their own math manually, the register does. She simply couldn't figure out that he gave her the correct change with the $20 bill and that she needed to give him $4.00 back. Evidently the quarter threw her off track. I do NOT eat out of food trucks unless I'm at the county Fair or working at a factory. The only food trucks we have cater to the factories at noon and at supper for those who work the midnight shift. God bless.
