I was recently offered a job with a company who has offices based in texas.
The offer was verbal, which I accepted. Comp, start date, discussion of duties and more all discussed at length with a formal offer to be sent to me the following day.
The job Ad I applied to had no reference to a vaccination requirement, nor was it mentioned during 4 separate Interviews for the role. (I even googled the company but no vaccine policy could be found) After my verbal acceptance, my to be manager mentioned I would need to bring my vaccine card on day one, which was the 1st time I was informed.
I'm now being told I essentially have two choices... take the job and get the vaccine, or tell them to shove it and not accept the job I have already accepted and want.
Any help, or advice would be hugely appreciated.
That my fren is a "tell". You invested all this time hope and planning and this is what they do....
You could pen a letter, if you really want the job, and itemize why you are The Perfect fit.
Last paragraph is where you advise that you require a minimum 2 year extension on their requirement for a medical procedure.
Low Probability but know this...tight job market and your reply will move as fast as a firecracker up the chain of command and may help you or the next Freedom Fighting American. Best of Luck....remember We Won and God has a Plan for You!
They came for me... 4 ivs in 3 days then job offer.
I ain't fucking getting the jab, zero, nada, nil. They either need to make reasonable accommodations given their inability to inform me of their policy in contradiction of state law or.... still stewing on the next best step.... hmmmm (legal if an option, or just turn up and ball in their court them)
You have a plan. Good!
