In the Maze Runner books the story is that a virus has wiped out much of the population of Earth, but some healthy young people are somehow immune to the virus. So an evil pharmaceutical company called Wicked decides to kidnap a bunch of these healthy immune young people to experiment on them to develop a cure.

Don't forget the Shadowrun universe with their megacorps, and the SINner and SINless dicotomy (SIN standing for system id number), where not having a SIN is literally illegal.
And we also can't forget the spiritual forerunner to that, Neuromancer, by William Gibson, which is the origin of the SIN dicotomy.
The Satanic elites would probably love to create a future like that, where megacorps are more powerful than nations, and have more military power than them.
Well we aren't there yet but we are heading there very quickly.
Also Lord of the Flies is not a dystopian novel. I guess you could say the kids formed a dystopian government but I think that is a stretch.
I think right now we are in a situation were all the elites are using Orwell's 1984 as a template. The official government narrative changes every day. The media stealth edits their stories to change the past every day. The CDC, FDA, NIH are all working against the health of the people instead of for the people.

Its about a world where equality is rigidly enforced by laws and a new religion of equality. Its very scary indeed but ends on a note of hope.
