FTA: One protester at the event held a sign that read, “Dallas Children’s Board Member Robbie Briggs Castrates Kids!” according to the Daily Express.

Years ago I read a book about the Catholic church in the 1500s to 1700s castrating young boys for their all-men choirs so that they'd have choiristers who could sing in the upper ranges. They were called castratos. Seems that, as Peter Allen wrote in his song, everything old is new again.
