Yeah, doesn't really seem to matter that much. At a certain point you either just give up or start working to take back back local government, there's really no other option, because yet-more-info and yet-more-clicked-links don't result in greater agency over your community. America is constitutively and metaphysically a mess (the rest of the West isn't far behind) and it was designed to perpetuate itself in that state.
