Found out that my ignorant 30 year old nephew got the jab and wouldn’t listen to me beforehand or look at any of the evidence. He claimed he was very anti-vax at first when his girlfriend was about to get it at CVS. He was on the phone with her freaking out and then he got it himself two weeks later, claiming she had nothing to do with it. 🙄
Now I find out that his oldest daughter (8 years old I believe) has gotten one shot and is slated to get another this week. We were all at my mothers a few days ago for a New Years/Christmas party and she told my mom (her great grandmother) to pray for her cuz she was getting her second jab this week and she’s scared. 😡
My mother didn’t tell me this until a day later after they had left. (I’m still here tending to her after her recent cirrhosis of the liver diagnosis- which my father also died from in 2009).
It’s a good thing as I would have gone off on my nephew, the child’s father. I started texting my sister about it today instead of fighting with him and she’s just clueless. She tells ME to quit living in fear, that she has no authority over her grand daughter, and that I’m gonna drive away all of my family relationships with this stuff. I LOL’d and told her I have zero fear, that it’s the rest of the population living in fear complying with all this senseless crap, and that I’m not a mindless lemming just following what the MSM tells me. I actually do research and don’t blindly put experimental toxins in my body. Told her that if half the population had a fraction of critical thinking and my resolve not to bow down to this nonsense that none of us would be in this situation. Some of my family drives me nuts with their ignorance. End rant.
Denial of service of unvaxxed 4 year old when its legally not allowed yet to vaccinate kids that young is 'another covidian going full cult' - most normies will at least admit to that in this instance.
if challenged, admit that its just a rumor by anon account, be amicable, maybe start a conversation about whether anyone knows of such cases in real life personally, etc...
Tl,DR - you can't convince people from combative posture. got to find common ground. Around people with way opposite political views, that means you have to tone yours down by a lot and learn to stealth tidbits in.
Also, on big issues don't try to win an argument or change a view point sharply. Almost never works. Undermine slowly. Get them used to giving an inch here, an inch there.

you don't seem to be handling this situation well. your family is avoiding you and avoiding telling you things related to this.
Whatever approach you are using to try and inform them, its not working and you need a change of tactics if not your whole strategy.
What tactics do you suggest, Iam? These people are beyond reach. Bravo to Infidel for at least trying. I no longer even bother.
Find common pain points and talk about those.
Tactic is to get them to gradually admit that the government isn't perfect.
regarding covid bullshit, focus on calling out mild inconsistencies, or just quietly note self-admitted rumors but don't be pushy about either one
Example of mild inconsistancy: https://patriots.win/p/140vt562m9/msnbc-host-refused-service-in-ny/c/

Example of 'rumor' -
if challenged, admit that its just a rumor by anon account, be amicable, maybe start a conversation about whether anyone knows of such cases in real life personally, etc...
