This makes me think of Bill Gates ("Flu Tracker" tm.) program. It's all predictable. Red October! Trump destroyed their plans. If you know the genetic progression you can release the end version before the first version does it's mutations. Thus the Vaccine should be a version of the last mutation before it dies out. Imagind 12 versions 1 sucks 2 is bad # 3 is weird by the time you get to 12 it's harmless but protects against all the others. 0micron could be the last mutation. I hope this makes sense. (side note the Amish are doing fine)
Because Omicron seemed to just appear out of a genetic vacuum without any predecessors, the idea that someone just figured out the end point, engineered it and released it into the wild doesn't seem too far fetched.
It also happens to be a way for "patriots to have been in control" the whole time. They always had a way to stop the pandemic, but let it run its course for a while to allow people to get an idea how bad the deep state really is.
