The hospital system I work for is “overloaded” so in surgery we have basically come to a halt. Our staff has been sent to other departments since there is a “bed shortage”. The other day I saw two National Guard members outside my hospital smoking cigarettes and complaining about the work inside.
Just curious if anyone else has seen this at their hospitals as well.
I think they have been sent to “help” all over. But it was pointed out that most national guard are pulled from their regular jobs to deploy. So they are removing them from their regular hospitals and sending them to another hospital. That doesn’t seem very helpful, not really increasing the number of medical people, just moving them around? Oh also, fun fact, a little off topic, when they fire nurses who don’t want the vax, they use “traveling nurses” whose companies do NOT require the vax. This don’t make no sense….
