They will no longer be doing contact tracing to monitor if they need to close, it's now based on absentees....... This means that if enough kids stay home for various reasons, they will do a covid closure (outing, appointments, personal days-which they suggest if your child is too tired or whiney at school)

I wonder if the school is getting paid to be closed. Follow the money, in my town we suspected that mask mandates were making the schools a lot of tax dollars. They aren't required here any more.
The only exemption the kids have for masks (at this school) is if they've got behavioral problems or special needs and can't put on by themselves.
