I was really excited for your reply to my first comment. What if meat is to you not a food category at all? What if the sight of a dead being or parts of its carcass only register to your physical senses as sad and your only appetite is to afford them some respect and well wishing?
Then, in my case anyway (and i imagine it as a totally unexceptional normal human condition), life as an observable phenomenon is beautiful and luminous w grace and harmony and love. All the good things people say about God and other memes.
There's no such thing as "meat" in the context you're using it. The part of it beyond its chemistry, the idea part about nutrition and predation and exploitation, nature, god, the meme part, it's just your idea. It isn't a thing. The actual thing, that is, in 3 dimensions, is a corpse, of a being. Nothing about it isnt marvelous, glorious, splendid, based, dignified and righteous.

Well you're asking me now to dismiss or somehow denigrate my body -which i know w all the wonder of creation to be true and right- in favor of a meme. Body beats meme.

I think of it like, if you don't eat meat, then there's no such thing as "a slab" of it. There is only flesh The body builds and launches "the soul." It's our great cross. Just about any story is less demanding of us.
