I've seen all this before in the 80s and 90s with computers.

Bill Gates and friends told us that if we didn't keep buying the latest version of windows, and keep buying the latest antivirus software, then we would all die and civilization would collapse.

The media agreed, and wrote endless articles about the dangers of open source software.

Governments all around the world supported this, and denied access to online services to non-windows users.

Linux ended up winning, and Bill Gates quit IT and invested his billions in biotech for his next adventures instead.

Incidentally, Jeffery Epstein donated his estate to Gates' new biotech interests just before he "killed himself"
