Himalayan salt inhaler. I have chronic bronchitis (a form of COPD) and it has allowed me to go from 2 doses of a prescription inhaler per day to 1 dose every 10-14 days. My insurance raised my out of pocket cost for the inhalers 21-fold last year, making them unaffordable for me, and I was desperate enough to try almost anything. My Himalayan salt inhaler ($15 on Amazon, includes a year's worth of Himalayan salt) has been a Godsend, it breaks up the mucus in my bronchi and also really stimulates mucocilliary transport and gets that mucus moving up and out. Salt is also antibacterial, antifungal, and potentially antiviral in nature. Give it a try!
Does that have a scent? I have asthma and chronic bronchitis(COPD). I can't wear perfume or even be around scented garbage bags or I start to cough and wheeze. I hate being on so many inhalers. This salt inhaler sounds great!
It's 98% NaCl just like table salt. The only difference is the other 2% is made up of like 15 trace minerals that are all healthy for you, and normal salt only has a couple of trace minerals. You can use regular salt in the inhaler if you prefer.
My COPD is also triggered by strong chemical smells, and salt inhalers are no problem at all.
TY I'll check it out!
