They weren't chosen though. They were maybe the first to discover Faith (lamp oil) and used such to try and enslave their neighbors and did unspeakable things. Christ came out of them to dismantle their system of mosaic law which was used to hide God from man. Christ tells us who the Chosen are, those that choose him, They are invited to receive the blood inheritance. Israel is scattered in all countries and not of one "human" blood line but the Blood Line of Jesus Christ. Figuratively, as Christ adopts us as our Father but becomes our Brother.
