What time table do you fast and why? I am contemplating running a 16/8 fast, so 16 hours of not consuming any calories and 8 hours of consuming calories (from 10 am until 6 pm). Any tips or why I should try a different type of fasting approach? Thanks ahead of time for any words of wisdom.

Lady pede here. I usually eat one meal a day (OMAD) which is lunch. Sometimes when I wake up and I'm very hungry, I wait a couple of hours, have some porridge with fruit and nuts, or yogurt with a banana and then have my lunch a couple of hours later. My usual fasting hours have been stretched to an average of 20-22 hours. I do drink protein powder after working out in the morning, around 2 hours before my lunch though. I rarely eat dinner, only when there's an occasion. Having dinner makes me feel sluggish and heavy. But you need to do what you feel is best for your body. Some people can go the entire day without eating, so they eat dinner. I can't.
You should have carbs with that protein shake after a workout. Carbs help bring the good stuff into the muscle.
