I don’t know anything about activist investors
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
But can somebody fill me in on what this means
Is it good or bad for the company, is it good or bad for stakeholders
This looks bad. Activist investors are typically investors with a goal other than profit in mind, think about the global initiative to reduce carbons, increase migration, etc. They don't mention any nefarious goals in this article, but I wouldn't put it past Sachem. As U.S. foods nears an all time high value for investors, this minority shareholder wants to make major changes? Sounds fishy to me, I'd sell and watch from a distance, maybe reenter if things go well.
