Notice she nods her head as though she is reading the words or maybe he’s reading her words. She’s reading along in her mind like a puppet master.

This. I noticed about half way through that she was mouthing the words under her mask. Her head and eye movements match the cadence of his words and if you focus solely on her, it appears as if she delivering the speech. That's just weird.
