Last night it was -28F or -33C, that is killing cold if you are caught out in it unprepared frostbite on exposed skin in a matter of minutes
Ottawa is currently 5C or 41F temperatures which I would give anything to see. 55 degrees warmer than we are right now, I'm using farenheit.
I'm not saying Ottawa doesn't get cold but it's a lot warmer than here. Now add wind to those cold North Dakota temperatures, and you will see windchills of 50 below and more. The coldest actual temperatures I have seen were in 2006 or 7 not exactly sure which year. We do get winds with gusts up to 55 and 60 mph.
But we had temperatures of -58F one day and the next was -63F,
They actually had school both days. I had to go get my daughter from school because the furnaces couldn't keep up.
No offense taken.
Where I am now It's currently -14F or -25C

My poor car barely wanted to move.
