From a military history point of view, its interesting to compare the current progress vs the 1942-43 progress.

Lines of advance are pretty much identical. Tracking the progress vs the 43 campaign.

We are currently seeing a replay of the 3rd battle of Kharkov / Sumy.

If it follows the 1943 actions, next up is to connect up with the coastal forces via Donbass / Lower Dniepr region, then swing to the right to create "Chekassy Pocket v2.0"

The wehrmacht were quite brilliant at breaking out of that, but it still crippled them.
